Falah

Prayer times you can trust, on a phone that keeps them to itself.

Falah calculates every prayer time on your device from your position — 15 calculation methods, Asr per your fiqh. It also holds the complete Qur'an, a tasbīḥ counter and a Qibla compass, and it works with no connection at all.

No account. No tracking. Notifications are scheduled on your phone.

Live example for Lahore — Karachi method, Hanafi Asr. Calculated in your browser, exactly as the app does it on your phone.

Everything a day of prayer needs, and nothing else.

Six things Falah does well. No feed, no social layer, no upsell.

Prayer times, calculated on the device

Your exact position, the astronomical algorithm, and the method your community follows. Fifteen methods are included and pre-selected per country; Asr follows Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali or Ja'fari. The Hijri date can be adjusted by a day, and Friday shows Jumu'ah.

Qibla

Device sensors only. The bearing and the distance to Makkah, no permission required.

The app cannot send your data anywhere, because it cannot connect.

No account, no ads, no analytics, no server. Your location — if you choose to share it — is used once, on your device, and never leaves it. Prayer times are computed locally and notifications are scheduled by your phone, so Falah keeps working on a plane, in a tunnel, or with the SIM out.

Permissions Falah does not request

  • INTERNET
  • Precise location
  • Contacts, storage, microphone
  • Background location
What it does use: notifications, exact alarms for prayer times, and an approximate location once — only if you tap “Use my location”. You can skip that and pick your city instead.

The text is the text.

Falah ships the Tanzil Uthmani text, reproduced verbatim and checked against a second authority before every release: 114 surahs, 6,236 ayahs, byte-compared, and the file's hash is verified by an automated test. Nothing is fetched at runtime, so what you read cannot change under you.

الصَّلَاةُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ النَّوْمِ Prayer is better than sleep. Falah (فلاح) means success — the word the adhan calls us to: ḥayya ʿalā l-falāḥ.
